Key Parts

CPU Board
CPU Board

Stands for Central Processing Unit—the brain of Provo Technic. It holds the coding logic and controls the other parts. Provo Technic always needs the CPU board.

IR Sensor Board
IR Sensor Board

An infrared sensor module with a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter emits invisible infrared light, and the receiver measures how much bounces back to detect how close an object is.

Switch Board
Switch Board

A push-button switch: pressing it lets current flow, and releasing it cuts the current. The crisp click sound makes it easy to tell whether the button is pressed.

USB Downloader
USB Downloader

A cable that links your computer to the CPU board so coded data can be exchanged. While connected, the CPU board is powered by the computer through the USB downloader.
